I will be using this as it is firstly set in the 1960's and was one of the most watched t.v series, of that era. It shows how Batman (Adam West) plays his traditional save the world scenario but in a more comical way, this can easily be seen through the cartoon strip opening shown above. The childish like writing of words like 'kaboom, bang, pow', shows that this t.v show can be watched by a much larger audience ranging from a very young age. Furthermore it will be helpful in my study as it in my opinion is not how a traditional superhero is, and further does not represent how they are, reinforcing 'Hancock's' role. This batman is in complete contrast with the old 1989 version (the actual film). Over the years society has changed as they now see batman as not like this timid funny character and they see him more like the aggressive person that is being displayed in the films, therefore depicting 'Hancock' as typical as he does do anything to get the job done.
First ever film original (Michael Keaton = Batman, Jack Nickleson = Joker), using this as a historical text, as it in 1989 so can be used as a good comparison to differ from the t.v series, which is much more conventional and commical, while the film was is more darker and with this joker a bit more crazied... Further the film itself in my opinion displays the typical superhero, but is Batman a superhero or a Hero?
